The Witcher Casting - Geralt of Rivia

This is my pick for Geralt of Rivia, the main protagonist of Andrzej Sapokowski's Witcher series of books and video games. Geralt is one of the last remaining Witchers, monster hunters who develop supernatural abilities at a young age (through the use of training and body modification) and battle deadly monsters. 

Reason for Casting: Karl Urban is a very popular choice when it comes to casting in various fandoms. He's done great performances before (notably his roles as Dr. McCoy in the new Star Trek films and Judge Dredd in Dredd. I think he could do very well in portraying Geralt, who comes across as a world weary and cynical, but deep down is someone who is fiercely loyal to his companions. Plus, it helps that Urban has experience with video games movies with his work in Doom (which I count among one of the better video game movie adaptations).
