JJBA Casting - Johnny Joestar

First off, I must warn you that this deviant contains a rant.

This is my pick for Johnny Joestar, the protagonist of part 7 of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (a famous and criminally underrated manga), Steel Ball Run. I highly suggest that you check it out, but I must warn you that it is bizarre (like it's title suggests). Part 7 is probably one of the saner parts. It's about a cross-country horse race which doubles as an attempt to stop a power-hungry President (whose name is Funny Valentine, I'm not even kidding), from gathering the mummified body parts of Jesus Christ and using them to conquer the world. Yeah, that is what's considered normal by this series's standards. 

Reason for Casting: I know what all of you are thinking: I must of gone insane since I casted the "sparkly gay faggot" from Twilight. First things first, if you're judging his acting solely based on the Twilight films, then you need to seriously grow up. The reason why the acting is so terrible in the Twilight is because all of the characters in them are so bland, poorly written, and one-dimensional. The only character that there is to Edward Cullen is that he's manipulative and emotionally abusive stalker. Hell, even Rob himself said that his interpretation of Edward is a socially maladjusted loser, who would in real life be "an ax murderer", and that he himself hates the series and thinks that Stephenie Meyer is insane. Unlike almost every other fan caster from ComicBookMovie.com, I don't conform and say that Rob's a shitty actor. Now that he's gotten out of that terrible franchise, he's now proving himself as an actor in various independent films. Hell, his co-star from his upcoming film, The Rover, Guy Pearce, is even praising him. 

Anyway, enough ranting. The main reason I casted Pattinson is because this time around, he actually gets to play a well defined character. Johnny was a famous horse jockey until an incident made him paraplegic. He's stubborn and strong-willed with a major Inferiority Superiority Complex and a forceful and hostile nature. That is definitely much more three dimensional than Edward "I watch people in their sleep" Cullen. And Johnny actually goes through character development, which is what drives Steel Ball Run (along with his growing friendship with Gyro Zeppeli). I also caused Pattinson because his body typed matched Johnny's, which is pretty damn thin. Plus,  I have a damn sure feeling that Rob can pull off Johnny Joestar, an actual character with depth and flaws, and give a good performance.
